NRS Licensed Trade Accountants are proud to be founder members of The Association of Licensed Trade Accountants. There are many professional accountancy bodies in the UK but none that service the licensed trade and its members the way in which ALTA does.

This industry has been asking for a professional body such as this and we are proud to share some of our many years of expertise with like-mided professionals who work in the sector - there is only really one winner in ALTA - the licensed trade which is how it should be.

The Association of Licensed Trade Accountants (ALTA) was launched in May 2011 and was very much the will of the industry as well as a lot of work form the founders which included NRS Accountants and DRJ Accountants.

 

The need for a professional body such as this came from requirements within the industry and was supported by the BII and major pub groups such as Punch Taverns and Enterprise Inns.

 

More than 70 providers and interested parties from a range of related services attended the launch event held here in Worcester at the Diglis Hotel.

 

Keynote speakers were Neil Robertson, chief executive of the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII), Barry Gillham, chairman of leisure and hospitality consultancy Fleurets and Giles Kendall, operations director of Punch Taverns.

 

An open forum was chaired by Peter Grieve, head of recruitment and training at Enterprise Inns, who said the pub group would now insist on all of its preferred accountants being ALTA members.
